About PhoxFin

PhoxFin was built because no existing tool treated childhood financial education the way every other serious subject is treated — as a curriculum, not a one-time lesson.

The spiral approach

Most financial literacy apps give kids a single module and call it done. PhoxFin takes a different approach: a fourteen-year spiral curriculum, PreK through Grade 12, that introduces one core money principle per grade and returns to it every year — deeper, more applied, more independent each time. By the time a student completes the program, they have reasoned through all fourteen principles together, not in isolation.

The credential

Every grade ends with a verifiable Financial Readiness Certificate — a real credential issued as an Open Badge, suitable for resumes, college applications, and scholarship forms. Standards are aligned to the CEE National Standards, the Jump$tart Coalition K–12 framework, and CFPB Youth Financial Education guidelines.

Meet Phoxyn

Phoxyn is the AI learning companion at the heart of the PhoxFin experience — designed to encourage, guide, and support students as they build real-world financial confidence.

More than just an assistant, Phoxyn was created to help students feel comfortable learning at their own pace in a positive and engaging environment. Whether exploring saving, budgeting, banking, investing, or smart financial decision-making, Phoxyn is there every step of the way with encouragement, patience, and age-appropriate guidance.

Built by founders David T. and Stacie T., Phoxyn represents the belief that financial education should feel empowering, interactive, and accessible for every student. Through adaptive learning and supportive interaction, Phoxyn helps make financial literacy feel less intimidating and more inspiring for the next generation.

The parent-paired track

Every child lesson pairs with a short parent micro-lesson — the same core concept, written for the adult who’ll be at the dinner table later. Families end up with the language and confidence to have honest conversations about money without lecturing, without pretending to know everything, and without leaving the kid alone with the curriculum.

Built by KnightByrd

PhoxFin is a subsidiary of KnightByrd, a technology company that builds intelligent platforms where data, strategy, and real-world outcomes meet. Like every KnightByrd product, PhoxFin was built by people who saw a system that wasn’t working and built a better one.

The founders

David T.

Founder & Technical Architect · KnightByrd Tech LLC

David spent years as a systems architect before channeling that expertise into a problem that mattered most: educational access. Based in Fort Mill, SC, he founded KnightByrd Tech LLC with a clear mission — technology should serve the learner, not the institution. PhoxFin, and the broader Korethi platform it sits inside, is built on a simple belief: every child deserves tools that meet them exactly where they are — not where the curriculum assumes they should be. Every design decision, from the diagnostic algorithm to the badge system, reflects that belief.

Stacie T.

Co-founder · Educator

Stacie has spent her career in classrooms with the students every existing curriculum was supposed to help. She watched the same gap widen year after year — kids who learned differently were too often treated as kids who learned slower; kids who needed a different angle were marked behind instead of met where they were. She co-founded PhoxFin with one mission: give students an opportunity to learn, and meet them exactly where they are. Pace, pre-knowledge, emotional load, reading level, confidence — every part of the platform bends to the kid, not the other way around.

Your child leaves childhood financially literate — not financially anxious.
